Innovation, sustainability, and customer-focused solutions lie at the heart of the long collaboration between Trimco Group and Securitas Technology. By merging our strengths, the partnership aims to support retail through advanced RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, offering enhanced inventory visibility, greater operational efficiency, and improved customer experiences.

We spoke with Dennis Sand Eskesen, Head of STS & RFID at Trimco Group, and Kim André Dalsaune, Sales Manager at Securitas Technology, to learn more about how this collaboration is transforming the retail landscape and addressing key challenges faced by retailers today.

What inspired the partnership between Trimco Group and Securitas Technology?

Dennis Sand Eskesen: Trimco Group’s RFID labeling solutions are designed to empower retailers with improved inventory management. Partnering with Securitas was a natural fit, as their expertise in system integration and security solutions perfectly complements our solutions, enabling us to tackle retail challenges together.

Kim André Dalsaune: For Securitas Technology, it’s about creating seamless, scalable solutions for retailers. By combining our expertise in RFID hardware and software with Trimco Group’s labeling expertise, we deliver solutions that go beyond technology — we’re creating smarter, future-proofed retail ecosystems.

What specific advantages does this collaboration offer retailers?

Dennis: Retailers gain precise, real-time insights into their inventory. They can track every item’s movement from supplier to store shelves, helping them reduce out-of-stocks and avoid excess inventory. This level of control supports better decision-making throughout the value chain.

Kim: Beyond that, we’re making operations simpler. For example, we automate time-intensive processes like stock counts and replenishment. That frees up employees so they can focus on enhancing the shopping experience. Our systems also integrate RFID with security measures like video surveillance and alarms. This helps brands prevent loss and gives retailers confidence in their business.

Sustainability is a key focus for Trimco Group. How does this collaboration align with sustainability goals?

Dennis: Sustainability has always been a priority at Trimco Group. In 2024, we’ve designed and launched our PaperMark RFID inlay series, which features the use of a paper substrate instead of plastic in our RFID inlays, an initiative that has a significant impact, especially at a higher scale. At Trimco Group, we prioritize sustainability by using low impact materials in our RFID labels. This collaboration with Securitas ensures retailers can implement advanced solutions while minimizing their environmental impact. Thus, we demonstrate that advanced technology and sustainability can go hand in hand.

Kim: Our focus is on creating lasting solutions. The modular, scalable design of our system allows retailers to adapt and grow without repeatedly overhauling their infrastructure. Sustainability also means making innovation practical and future-ready.

Inventory challenges remain a major pain point in the retail sector. How does your RFID solution address these issues?

Kim: Inventory management can be chaotic without proper systems in place. Our solution tracks every item in real time, offering unparalleled inventory visibility. With accurate data at fingertips, retailers can make smarter decisions, whether it’s replenishing stock quickly or understanding sales trends.

Dennis: Exactly. This level of insight not only helps avoid overstocking and shortage issues but also allows for faster responses to customer demand. Ultimately, it keeps shelves stocked with exactly what shoppers need, uplifting the customer experience and sales.

Customer experience is a recurring theme in this partnership. What improvements can retailers achieve in this regard?

Dennis: Shoppers today expect convenience. When stock levels are accurate, customers can trust that the product they’re looking for is available, whether they’re shopping in-store or online. Combine that with streamlined in-store operations, and they get better service at every touchpoint.

Kim: The technology also eliminates inefficiencies at checkout or returns, creating a seamless shopping experience. Plus, by reducing shrinkage with better security, retailers can reinvest those savings back into improving customer offerings. It’s a win-win scenario.

For retailers eager to adopt this solution, what’s the next step?

Dennis: Reach out to us! We’re here to walk you through how this technology can be tailored to their unique needs.
