About the Role
The Business Analyst is a technical, analytical, and customer facing role responsible for gathering business requirements, developing and supporting data integrations, and enabling data driven decision-making for Trimco customers and internal teams. This position plays a critical part in customer onboarding, data strategy execution, and the success of Trimco’s analytics services.
A strong candidate will be highly organized, disciplined with documentation, comfortable engaging directly with customers and partners, and skilled at transforming business requirements into actionable data solutions.
Responsibilities
Business Requirements & Customer Engagement
/ Lead customer and partner discussions to understand business requirements, data needs, and integration objectives.
/ Translate customer and internal requirements into clear technical specifications.
/ Serve as a customer facing point of contact during onboarding, data integration projects, and ongoing data support.
/ Work closely with internal teams, including Implementation, Data Services, and Business Development, to align on data strategy and execution.
Data Integration & Process Development
/ Develop, configure, and maintain data integration processes using tools such as Boomi IPAAS and other integration platforms.
/ Support customer data ingestion, validation, transformation, and delivery workflows.
/ Troubleshoot data discrepancies and provide root cause analysis for data related issues.
/ Ensure data pipelines and processes are scalable, reliable, and well documented.
Data Analysis & Visualization
/ Use Tableau and other analytics tools to collect, process, analyze, and visualize data from multiple sources.
/ Produce dashboards, reports, and insights that enable customers and Trimco teams to make informed business decisions.
/ Identify trends and provide recommendations that support strategic initiatives, revenue growth, and operational improvements.
Documentation & Governance
/ Maintain detailed, accurate, and up to date documentation for all integrations, processes, and customer data solutions.
/ Support the development and continuous improvement of data governance practices.
/ Ensure adherence to internal standards, change management processes, and best practices.
Travel Requirements
/ 25% travel to customer sites.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
/ Experience developing data integrations using ETL/iPaaS tools such as Boomi (preferred), MuleSoft, Informatica, or similar platforms
/ Relevant Dell Boomi certifications or other integration software certifications
/ Strong understanding of SQL databases, relational data modeling, and common data integration patterns
/ Knowledge of system integration technologies including:
o Web services, SOAP, REST
o JSON, XML, XSD
o Business process automation and orchestration tools
/ Experience with retail ERP integrations (preferred but not required)
/ Proficiency working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
/ Advanced skills in Excel (macros, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and comfort working with various data formats
Analytical & Business Skills
/ Ability to understand, document, and clearly communicate complex business processes
/ Strong project planning and coordination skills, including managing multiple priorities and timelines
/ Ability to work at both a detailed aMeetnalytical level and a high level project strategy view
Soft Skills
/ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine desire to engage with end customers and users
/ Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a global, cross functional environment
Education
/ Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
OR
/ 6+ years of professional experience in a related data, analytics, or integration role
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $75,000- $95,000 commensurate with experience.
Compensation Statement:
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
